Attempt House Burglary - Near You - Highfield Avenue, Idle and Thackley, BD10

Dear Resident,

Residents are advised of a recent attempted burglary in the area.

Between 22:30 on 22/06/2026 and 08:00 on 23/06/2026, unknown suspect/s attempted to gain entry to a residential property. The suspect/s snapped the front door lock and also used tools on the rear patio doors. Entry was not gained, and the suspect/s made off on foot.

Advice to residents:

Ensure all doors and windows are secure, especially overnight.

Consider upgrading door locks to anti-snap types.

Report any suspicious activity immediately.

Make sure CCTV or doorbell cameras are working where available.

If you have any information relating to this incident, please contact West Yorkshire Police via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
